THIS BLEND WAS CREATED FOR YOUR COLD BREW EXPERIMENTS
This is our first blend designed specifically for cold brew coffee. Moreover, it’s our very first blend for filter coffee in general! Cold coffee brewing has its challenges. First, it almost always has a slightly astringent body. Second, the acidity can be somewhat muted. In our blends, we always aim to highlight strengths and minimize weaknesses. That’s why we selected coffee that provides a juicy, clean texture and vibrant fruity acidity.
The blend combines two diametrically different lots of coffee, processed differently and from different regions, but both from the same country – Rwanda. Mixing washed and anaerobic processed coffees isn’t our invention. But in this case, we blended not just the processes, but two distinct flavor complexes to create Synergy – when two coffees work together to form something new: a new experience, a new taste, a new texture, a new bouquet.
In cold brew, the blend will reveal itself vividly and silky, with bright acidity highlighted by spicy notes of summer spices such as rosemary, often used in summer cocktails. The citrus notes, combined with subtle wine-like acidity, maintain the fruity flavor complexity, complemented by sweet, high-quality chocolate.
This blend can also be used for filter coffee or hand-brew methods, as well as other brewing techniques.
