We created this blend out of respect for Her Highness Coffee—and for you. We often find ourselves in the same situation: the coffee is so delicious you want to keep drinking it, but then you face the consequences of too much caffeine. At the same time, decaffeinated lots often (though not always) have a less original bouquet and may not appeal to everyone. The Low-Caff direction (low-caffeine coffees) is quite developed in Europe and the US. There, producers often make similar blends or search for specific coffee varieties that naturally contain less caffeine.
This signature blend by Vysoka is a mix of decaffeinated Colombia Meseta de Popayán and anaerobic Colombia El Indio, which leads the flavor with its intense bouquet and high sweetness.
The decaffeination method is Sugarcane, where caffeine is dissolved using ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane. This keeps the coffee quite vibrant and adds a sparkling acidity. Meanwhile, Colombia El Indio is a Caturra lot (a natural mutation of Red Bourbon, originally from Minas Gerais, Brazil) processed using an anaerobic natural method. It has a predominantly tropical flavor profile, intense sweetness, and exotic acidity—fully carrying the bouquet of this remarkable blend.
The cup is sweet and full-bodied, with notes of coconut, dried banana, melon, and citrus. It’s a great choice for enjoying in the second half of the day—and even in the evening.
