IT ALL STARTED WITH AN IDEA
Soy is a collective of high-class artisans with many years of experience in forging copper, silver, and gold, who since 2010 have dedicated themselves to creating the finest products in the world.
Soy’s technique is a carefully curated blend of ancient craft methods from the Indian subcontinent, Iran, and the Ottoman Empire. In fact, the workshop could have existed in the same form more than 4,000 years ago, as all the energy for shaping copper and silver comes exclusively from human labor.
The raw materials—copper and silver—are supplied directly by state refineries, and both metals have a 999 fineness—the highest purity available.
Most tools are handcrafted in our own workshop to fit our exact needs. The metal thickness for different products and series is carefully calculated according to dimensions, volume, and heat exposure, and is among the highest in the world.
For example, the standard thicknesses we use are:
1.5 mm — for most coffee and barware
2.0 mm — for most regional and specialty kitchenware
2.5 / 3.0 mm — for professional high-durability cookware
Handles are also made from Soyactite —a patented bronze alloy the company created in 2011. It is one of the most heat-resistant bronze alloys in the world. The patented “trident” handle shape provides extra heat protection, keeping our handles cooler for longer than most copper manufacturers.
Rivets are installed by hand, ensuring perfect, controlled expansion inside the holes and a completely sealed product.
All large items are marked with a serial number confirming their authenticity and granting access to the Heritage Warranty.
